"I'm the Trash Man!"

Films: The Milpitas Monster (1976)

Alias: None

Type: Mutant

Location: Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of a large house.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: If you thought that Hedorah was the pinnacle of the horrors of environmental abuse...well then, you'd be right. But hey, this guy can compete, right?

History: Milpitas, California was once a prosperous garden town, but years of political upheaval and trend-chasing has reduced it to a near-ghost town characterized by street bums and lots and LOTS of garbage. So much so that it has all mutated into one formidable being. Uh, oh.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: With the help of a trash can and the town drunk, the people are able to lead the monster to the top of a radio tower. They promptly destroy the base, and the monster plummets to its death.

Powers/Abilities: None

Weakness: Heavily attracted to the scent of trash.

Scariness Factor: 2-This thing looks like what would happen if you asked a group of kindergarteners how they'd interpret Cthulhu after making them read a bit of Lovecraft. From the weird gas-mask face to the useless moth wings, we're scratching our heads wondering how this thing was conceived.

Trivia: -Milpitas is a real city in California, and like its movie counterpart, it has a bit of a pollution problem. Not one big enough to spawn giant abominations, but still.

-This whole film was made by high school students. Really explains a lot, doesn't it?
